Anyone know of any Spanish Scrapbook Embellishments?
I would like to make my husband's parents a scapbook of my son's first year, Scrapbook Embellishment but I can't find any of the fun stickers and papers and vellum in Spanish that I have found in English. (They live in another country and speak only spanish). Has anyone had any luck with online shopping? Or any stores that sell them out there?

I do a LOT of scrapbook shopping at:www.OrientalTrading.comThey have hundreds and hundreds of embellishments, and their prices are so cheap, you have to see them to believe them! They do have quite a few “wedding” embellishments, as well as things like music notes and song lyric paper. Oriental Trading does have a big selection of religious material, so just watch for those.Good luck with your scrapbook!Hugs & Stuff,LadyLynx1063
A scrapbook embellishment can be anything that decorates a page besides the picture. Stickers, cutouts, mementos, fabric, brads, ribbon, and thousands of other things can be embellishments. Check out this website for ideas on what kinds of things are embellishments. http://www.joann.com/joann/catalog.jsp?CATID=cat2713You can also look at http://scrapbooking.about.com for more information.
Use baby pics, occasions that looked fun, anything happy, use grays and medium blues. Use fake flowers and gel pens ( the ones that write like markers) and use 3-d effects. Use colorful paper to work with.
A shamrock background paper in pastel green would be a good start. Any type that has the celtic knot would also be appropriate as would green/gold stripes or something else kind of masculine. You might use: Irish sayings/blessings, the celtic knot symbol, shamrock and thistle (which is Scottish) symbols, the flag of Ireland, the claddagh. Print the blessing around the perimeter of the page or pictures.Maybe you could design a few extra pages and leave the photo sections blank for the parents to add pictures. You could make your own celtic knot with yarn or thin ribbon. You might check at Michael’s, Hobby Lobby, JoAnne’s, or even Target for celtic page kits.
Here is a web site with some information on scrapbook embellishments. There are a lot to choose from:stickers, chipboard, ribbon, eyelets, brads, rub-ons and so much more.Scrapbooking is such a great hobby.
Digital Scrapbook Place has the best digital freebies and kits! They are here: http://www.digitalscrapbookplace.com
You can get a photo box from http://www.storephotos.com/ to store stuff in. It’s also a good way to store any unused photographs until you are ready to scrapbook with them. They have some great stuff here!I hope this helps!
You should check out paper quilling for scrapbooking embellishments…you can make some really cool quilled patterns and its not all that expensive to buy the materials (although not available in most stores, so you have to get online.) Quilling is a great way to embellish your scrapbooks. If you don’t know what it is, its basically coiling thin strips of paper into fun designs like quilled flowers, animals, letters, etc. I discovered it not too long ago and I think its pretty cool and definitely a neat paper embellishment for scrapbooks; plus its pretty unique! You can check it out at http://www.LearnQuilling.com and watch the free video lesson on quilling to see what I mean. Enjoy your scrapbooking! Hope that gives you a good idea to use for your pages!
The easiest thing to do is to get GIMP. It is a little different from photoshop, but there are many many tutorials on the web. All of that is free. GIMP itself is free and legal. You can download the main program and find lots of enhancements. There is a whole GIMP community online.
Please don’t send your photo album away to have it done, you take the chance of losing your precious moments. If you really want someone to do it go to a local scrapbook store and ask the owner for someone local talent. They are the ones that know who is and who isn’t in your community. If worse come to worse take the time and however long it takes to do it yourself. You will be glad that you did.
Try finding a scrapbook store in your area. Most will have classes. They will demo products for you. going to a crop will let you see what others are doing and what products they use. It is a good way to socialize and meet other scrappers. You do need a good paper trimmer, Fiskars is a good brand.check out http://www.sizzix.com for die cuts, and ideas for them.
I seldom use it, but yes it has layout templates.I’m sure it has photo shapers, but I don’t know what you mean by digital scissors? You can email me if you like.Tbonedibona@yahoo.com

I don’t think it’s “cheap,” but the point of a reminder is to have it in a prominent place. Would you put a luggage tag on your fridge to remember the date? Maybe there is more to it than I know from your question…Perhaps a magnet instead… or a nice postcard with your picture on it. That would be easy to keep.
What type of flowers are you wanting such as what size and what color? may be able to help you get a bul order but I need to know what you want and I can send you pictures of what I have access to as well as prices. Send me a message at fradykat_flora@yahoo.com and we will go from there.
Try making your digital scrapbook pages at CropMom. http://www.cropmom.com It’s easy to use and has lots of digital scrapbook graphics that you can use in your layouts. You can also add your own text.If you want software that you can download, try GIMP. It’s free and it’s on par with Adobe Photoshop. Be forwarned: you’ll have to spend some time learning how to use it because it’s not easy. Once you have figured out how to use it, you can go find some digital scrapbook kits (free or ones you pay for) at any of the hundreds of digital scrapbook stores on the Web.The higher-end software is going to cost money. That includes Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Photoshop Elements and Corel Paint Shop Pro.

How about taking a shopping trip together and then point out things you like. Do you live near a hobby lobby? They have great sales on sometimes. And every other week they seem to have a 40% off coupon which is good for any regular priced item at their store. http://www.hobbylobby.com and then go to weekly specials. How about some shape cutters, die cutters I think they’re called. Or a self healing mat, craft knife, and cardstock so you can cut out your own shapes?
