You might try cutting it up. Alternatively, you could give the turtle something good: tiny earthworms, guppies or other small fish (not goldfish), soft-bodied insects, strips of liver dusted in bonemeal.

There are wolves and fresh water alligators at the zoo in Springfield, Missouri. If there is a decent zoo in Branson I’d like to see some kind of website about it.
around 15-17 min in real
absolutly not. My son’s first visit to the zoo was when he was 2 months old on mother’s day. He slept the whole entire time as we pushed him around in his stroller, but he was there! Don’t worry about it.
Most of the times the baby animals, like leopards, are raised at the zoo or sanctuary by the keepers and vets. The vary few that ever get taken home, go home with a senior keeper or vet.I have seen a few (very few) foster/surrogate parents that aren’t keepers or vets, but I don’t know how they got the job or their prior experience.A Exotic Animal Trainer might also get the chance to raise wild animals. To care for a wild or exotic animal in your home you would need a permit and/or license. (at least in the states, I’m not sure about other countries)http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Growing_Up…Growing Up…Clouded LeopardProfessional surrogate mother Sara Bratcher raises Ming and Mei, a pair of clouded leopard cubs, in her home. After three months, the siblings will be transferred to the Asian rainforest and clouded leopard breeding program at the Nashville Zoo.http://webpages.charter.net/sbratcher/Sara is the mother of five grown children and was a carnivore keeper at The Nashville Zoo from 1991 to 2000. Her main interest at the zoo was the big cats, some of which weigh over 600 lbs. She is now called upon from time to time to raise baby cats for the Nashville zoo. This is done when the mother rejects them or they are “pulled” in order to make them a better exhibit animal (safer to work with and more at ease around people) or the animal is to be used in an educational program. Her favorite cats are clouded leopards and snow leopards.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Growing_Up…Growing Up…Marsupial- Three lucky people take on the challenging but rewarding job of hand-rearing Trowunna Wildlife Park’s abandoned or orphaned babies…Lion- At the prestigious Wild Animal Orphanage…Tiger- At the Tiger Creek Wildlife Refuge in Texas…Elephant- His keepers describe…Cheetah- Four cheetah cubs, born at South Africa’s Cango Wildlife Ranch’s Cheetah Breeding Centre…Wolf- Caretakers at Minnesota’s Wildlife Science Center…http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AhTMId6Hi4xHkUcLMLkvgdXty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20090226165918AAYdOKX&show=7#profile-info-GUQAJeGKaaWhat classes and type of education to obtain to become a zookeeper and care for tigers?http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AljUPKX3nVgBWK5XoNkJ9rnty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20090305230207AAqohe4&show=7#profile-info-KnmNCAdVaaVet Schools for Zoo animals?
Polar bears are on the Endangered Species list. We better hope that the little guy grows up big and healthy and finds a lady friend and makes lots of baby bears, cause the way we’re using up the Arctic, captivity may be the ONLY place on earth to see a real live polar bear before this century is over. Personally, I’d a lot rather see them in a controlled environment if that’s the only way to keep ‘em around, then to know that they went extinct on my watch, as it were.
