I sell vintage clothes on eBay. Would you consider wearing clothes from a different era?
The clothes I sell are like works of art, with Vintage Sandylion A LOT of attention paid to details. It seems that, in general folks from the days-gone-by, paid more attention to what they wore and how they presented themselves. Would you consider wearing vintage clothes from a different era? Crazing is one of those things that bother some people. I soak mine in hot water and dishWASHER detergent for an hour or so. Any marks left will come out with a toothbrush.

If you want them to look faded but still have color, just desaturate the image. This is extremely easy to do in Picasa (download it for free from Google). You can also add film grain in Picasa, and that will definitely give you the old feel that you’re looking for.

Desaturated with the greens pulled up. Like we had before the war. Oh Audrey was the cats meow, she was… oh my hip!

Go Etsy they will make it if you can’t find it there http://www.etsy.comOr check your local thrift shops. (Just be sure to wash it before you use it.)

The difference between the terms antique and vintage – is the age of the item. But some people disagree on how old an item has to be to be called an antique, I think an antique has be a hundred years old to be called an antique. That might be why more people use the term vintage on the online antique site Junkables.com. It is safer to use the term vintage when describing your antiques than it is to use the term antique, even though we call lot of vintage items antiques because that term is used to describe an item that is old.

I’ve seen them used as kitchen curtains by just hanging them triangularly on a rod..no sewing! If you do sew, you could make them into runners. Also, if you have a fireplace mantle you could fold it so it fits on it with a little hanging down.

The difference is that thrift shops have anything. You can get a new outfit hardly worn or an old “vintage outfit” because people donate their stuff that they don’t want. Vintage shops are more specialized, they only take “vintage” stuff that people don’t want.

Antique is 100 or more years old and vintage is less than that.

As vintage clothing is a generic term for new or second hand garments originating from a previous era, so I did search on second hand garments and find various resources like http://www.wholesalepages.co.uk, clothesdir.com and ebay. I think you should try it.Best of luck!

thrift stores have excellent vintage clothes for the cheaps. You could find a bunch of different items, and then pair them up to your liking. Claires has vintage looking accessories as well (very cute). Hope this helps and good luck. ^_^….also if goodwill or what not is your thing, there are also themed thrift stores you could check out, well you know stores that are not the normal thrift stores you see ^_^

go to the Sharper Image — they sell a very good jewelry cleansing machine and it’s not that expensive. Works wonders!
