I’m not sure if it is a book you are MAKING FOR a 12 yo, or if the 12 yo will be making it herself. Creative Memories has several “Paper Album Kits” with themes that could be considered “girly.” (Purple Passion, Garden Party, For Her are beautiful!) These are kits that allow you to quickly assemble a great album–including the papers, die cuts, embellishments, and title stickers. I’ve put these together in 40 minutes or less. They even come with an envelope so you can mail them (addnt’l postage needed, of course.) http://www.creativememories.com They are only $15 and all you’ll need is adhesive and a pen! Good luck!
well i know you already said a necklace, but something really sweet is too….make a build-a-bear and put a necklace on it for her! but since you already gave her a necklace….maybe earrings or something ((hmm…can you put earrings on a bear??)) but anyway….or just make her a bear with something special…thats really sweet!girls like to cuddle, and when she cuddled her bear she would think of you…..then she’d go cuddle you!! hahahope i helped!!

I think something small and meaningfull is the best way to go for 18ths, then pair it with something more generic bigger for presentation. Eg. 1. A nice bracelet engraved with her initials, then put the box in an oversized martini glass (which you could also get engraved with “happy 18th [insert name here]” or something to make it more personal) Or you could always get her something practical and add some small token gifts to make it more unique. E.g. 2. A nice hand-bag filled with hair accessories or cosmetics… gloves and a scarf… or something that relates to her personally. (i.e. sex-wax for a surfer, music sheets for a song she likes if she’s a musician, fairy lights if she likes interior design, etc)Also, you could try and do some research into what she actually might ‘need’… does she have a jewelry holder? is her wallet in need of replacement? Some other generic ideas could be:~ A spa treatment, peidcure, tanning voucher, massage, etc. (you could make it a day trip for the two of you, where you buy lunch and go get beautified together, just add write it in the card)~ Bake her some cookies & a hand-made card.~ A voucher to her favorite store~Alcohol :p (& a cocktail making book/martini glass.~Make a themed “gift basket” with trinkets that remind you of her (keyrings, cheap jewelry, etc.) or (fooooood) or (cosmetics, hair stuff, body lotions)~PerfumeAnyway, goodluck mate.Have a great time at the bidday!
scrapbooks can look like whatever you want them to. It’s your own ideas put into it. Be creative.
No, I would never want a scrapbook. I think they’re dumb.
Kids like to cut, paste, and paint. Do you have any empty boxes around to decorate? Empty kleenix box, Quaker Oatmeal round box, etc. If you don’t have decoupage, mix some water with Elmer’s glue. Get images from junk mail, magazines that everyone has read, or scan the pictures onto your computer.
I bought a baby girl scrap booking kit. I like creative memories but there are a gazillion scrap booking supply companies available. I put pictures of me when i was pregnant showing off the bump. Included ultrasound pictures and an invitation to my baby shower. I love to journal so it was fun documenting everything during my pregnancy. I included pictures of her right after birth and her crib id and bracelets and foot prints. Then I included my favorite pictures and memories of her first year of life. I wrote down all of her firsts and did three pages of her first birthday. I also added lots of extra touches like quotes about babies and cute little stickers and ribbons. The possibilities are endless when it comes to doing a scrapbook. http://scrapbook.lifetips.com/cat/65444/baby-scrapbooks/index.htmlThis is an excellent website with a million scrap booking ideas and tips. Have fun!!

I don’t know what the one on the cover looks like, but I have made paper bag scrapbooks and this is how I did it. =)First take your bags…they can be brown paper lunch sacks, white ones or the colored ones you can get at craft stores. I prefer the white because I can buy a bunch for less and they are versatile.Fold them all in half. (end to end so they make a square) Stack them on top of each other like a book, alternating the direction the bags go. So on each side the layers will be open end, closed, open end, closed. (I hope that makes sense)Now that you have your layers done, these are your pages. Fold the book together. Now punch several holes down the spine of your book. (you may need to seperate for punching and then put back together -it’s a lot of layers for a punch)Now string ribbon through each of these holes, tying a knot at each hole. I like to use several coordinating colors of ribbon. To decorate the pages, I use coordinating Designer Series Papers or Simply Scrapping kits from Stampin’ Up! The kits are great because they have the self adhesive die cuts too, which would be perfect if your doing this with girls.Cover your pages with pieces of card stock and designer paper. Add your embelishments and wahla! A great little scrapbook! The fun part now…. when you alternated the bags, you gave yourself “pockets” on both sides!Cut squares from card stock to fit inside these pockets and staple a piece of ribbon to one side. You can then use the ribbon to pull out the “hidden” paper that can hold a special message or photo!Have fun!! You can find Simply Scrappin’ Kits and Designer papers in the SU! Fall Winter Catalog on pgs 170-177. Let me know if I can help. ~Nicolle =)

You can make cards with it.Collages.Use it to line envelopesDonate it to lesser grades/elementary schools, or your art classes, they would LOVE to have it for projects. You can also, if you have a lot, see if your local hospital would like it for the kids, call the pediatric ward and ask them if they will take it for the kids. You can use it to make Holiday cards and gift tags for when you give out holiday gifts this year.Make gift tags for birthdays and other occasions.Use them as colorful note cards, just cut them down to size.Save them for when you have projects at school. I’m sure once school starts again you’re going to have projects that you’re going to do that you’re going to want covers for essays and collages and things, the packs of paper will be perfect for that. You can save them until the end of the school year and if you find you don’t use it by then, then donate them, etc.
I think she would just take pictures and doodle on them and journal in it too.
It’s a song…There’s two things I know for sureShe was sent here from heavenAnd she’s daddy’s little girlAs I drop to my knees by her bed at nightShe talks to Jesus and I close my eyesAnd I thank god for all of the joy in my lifeOh, but most of allFor butterfly kisses after bedtime prayerSticking little white flowers all up in her hair”Walk beside the pony, Daddy, it’s my first ride”"I know the cake looks funny, Daddy, but I sure tried”Oh, with all that I’ve done wrongI must have done something rightTo deserve a hug every morningAnd butterfly kisses at nightSweet 16 todayShe’s looking like her momma a little more everydayOne part woman, the other part girlTo perfume and make-up from ribbons and curlsTrying her wings out in a great big worldBut I remember…Butterfly kisses after bedtime prayerSticking little white flowers all up in her hair”You know how much I love you, Daddy, But if youdon’t mind I’m only gonna kiss you on the cheek this time.”Oh, with all that I’ve done wrongI must have done something rightTo deserve her love every morningAnd butterfly kisses at nightAll the precious timeLike the wind the years go byPrecious butterfly, spread your wings and flyShe’ll change her name todayShe’ll make a promise and I’ll give her awayStanding in the bride room just staring at herShe asked me what I’m thinking and I said “I’m not sure,I just feel like I’m losing my baby girl.”She leaned over…Gave me butterfly kisses with her momma thereSticking little white flowers all up in her hair”Walk me down the isle Daddy, it’s just about time.”"Does my wedding gown look pretty Daddy, Daddy don’t cry.”Oh, with all that I’ve done wrongI must have done something rightTo deserve her love every morningAnd butterfly kissesI couldn’t ask God for more, man this is what love isI know I’ve got to let her goBut I’ll always rememberEvery hug in the morning and butterfly kisses~~~~~
here is a pretty good website with some fun crafts http://www.goodiesfromscratch.com check the blog for arts and crafts ideas
That is a wonderful idea. Your gf will be thrilled. As to what kind she will appreciate– I agree with the other posters that pictures or other mementos from great moments is the way to go. In addition to photos, you can also include other items such as ticket stubs, programs, post cards, letters, greeting cards, invitations, etc. Most importantly, be sure to include some journaling in each layout. Journaling is your hand-written or computer generated thoughts and feelings about the event or memory that you are scrapbooking about. Scrapbooking kits are perhaps the easiest way to get started, since they do include almost everything you need, such as papers, stickers, embellishments, etc. You may need to purchase a little card stock, which usually doesn’t come with kits, and you will need cutting tools and acid free glues and adhesives. You can get this at any scrapbook store. Places like Michaels and Joann also sell these supplies, if you have one near by. If you go to Michaels, visit their web site and print off a 40% coupon. This gives you a 40% discount on one item, provided it is not already on sale.As for actually assembling the layout, I direct you to the link below. It contains a video demonstration for first time scrapbookers, showing you how to make a simple layout.
throw her a misul party (look it up on urban dictionary…MISUL>>>) but let her swallow
Get a kit that you can make a memory stone with (craft stores have them)…(they are usually made of lightweight concrete and are for the garden but can be displayed anywhere)..press in your handprints, shells, old jewelry, pieces of stone or pottery, anything that means something to all of you…this will be something she can keep for a lifetime. Or go to one of those do-it-yourself pottery places, and each of you paint a plate or vase or something with sayings or other things that remind you of your friendship.
Hello there
When I create scrapbooks, I usually rely on StorePhotos.com http://storephotos.com for my albums and supplies, and QuoteGarden.com http://quotegarden.com/ for my quotes. There are several really great quotes sites, most of which allow you to search in a variety of ways (by author, by subject, etc.), but this is one I’ve had a lot of luck finding the right words with. You’ll know the right quotes for your husband when you see them
Another great thing from StorePhotos.com that you might want to consider is their military medallions for scrapbooks http://www.memoryscrapbooks.com/embellish.html They’re a really affordable and attractive way to decorate an album for those in the military.Hope this helps!
