    It would be possible to introduce spider DNA sequences to a human. This would not be done by allowing a spider to bite you, but rather by packaging part of the DNA sequence of interest into a retroviral vector. HIV is in part currently impossible to cure because it inserts its DNA into the human chromosome. A retroviral vector is in essence a genetically engineered HIV that sticks whatever gene you want into a cell. So yes, if you made a few dozen amazing breakthroughs in gene therapy then you may be able to turn yourself into spiderman!

    If that was the case then I would be…Spiderman, Beeman, Waspman, Snakeman, Mosquitoman, Dogman…and Womanman (yeah my gf bites too).
