How would I go about painting my bicycle with this particular Design?
I wanted to paint my road bicycle in a specific design and I was wondering how I would go about doing that. The design is as follows:The entire bike would be painted black, while the frame itself would have skulls (That would look like this http://profile.imeem.com/RsIXIC/photo/wmUeVsdw/QqCHoDJyS0/) placed everywhere on the frame in white. My first question Decals Size is what type of paint should I use and how should I do it? Powder coat professionally? Lacquer? Enamel? And with what? Spray can? Rented air brush from home depot? My second question is how would I be able to get the skulls onto the bike? I would like all the skulls to be uniform in size so masking taping skulls everywhere would be hard to do. Should I get personal decals made? Make a stamp which cuts out the skulls from tape? Stencil them in?Thanks for all your contributions!!!! I’m really excited to get this paint job done!P.S My fork is carbon fiber would I need a different process to paint that too?If you can not see the picture. Please use this link.http://answers.yahoo.com/my/my;_ylt=AjAuAVKdDtLCrtomhRFtcIrpy6IXSorry wrong copy and paste -_-0 This one down herehttp://profile.imeem.com/RsIXIC/photo/wmUeVsdw/QqCHoDJyS0/

Take the VIN number, and run it through a vin decoder, here:http://www.motoverse.comIt will give you all the info on the bike, like year, make, model, engine capacity, origin of manufacture, etc….very simple. The VIN is on the steering yoke, right side, and its 17 characters long.

try re-arranging the furniture, sometimes that helps….and do you really need the futon? i would get rid of all the stuff on your walls and if you want you could paint your room a lighter color, even tho it sounds like it is pretty light…. so yeah maybe get rid of the white board or atleast move it, and take down the poster…. make your stuff organized by maybe getting little boxes or floating shelves to put your stuff in. make sure theres no clutter and its always neat and tidy. let in light from outside and your room should look a little bigger. and DEFINATLY get some big stand up mirrors.

there is a sort of special kind of clay for your walls. you can either buy a stencil design or draw you own . the clay makes the frame look more 3D. if you want it to stick out more just use more clay!! hyope i help-e!

You don’t need a program for that.1. Figure out the scale of the image you have. For example, if the original decal you want to copy is a circle with a 16-inch circumference, and your picture of it has a 2-inch diameter, your photo’s scale is currently 1:8.2. Figure out how much further you need to reduce the image in order to get the scale you want. For example, if you have an image that is 1:8 and you want to reduce it to 1:43 scale, you just figure out how many times 8 goes into 43 — that’s 5.4 times. So, your 2-inch-across image needs to be 2 / 5.4 inches (or, in decimal, .37 inches) across; that’s about 5/16ths of an inch in diameter. So, you use an image-editing program, such as Photoshop, Gimp, Irfanview or the like, to reduce your photo until it has a 5/16ths diameter. You can therefore use a standard scanner, printer decal sheets you can get from any Internet hobby shop, and a calculator to make your decals.

I have no idea, but Kinkos can do just about everything with an image. Maybe they have the removable stuff.

decaldriveway.comdecalkits.comThere are many more but I’ve shopped with these two sites but haven’t done any custom ordering but if you call and talk to them or email I think you can email them certain graphics, pictures, and images that they can use to help you figure out something. They’ll work with you.

Don’t really know what you meant but, I will tell you this when shopping for a Painter go to your friends home and ask them and take a good look at their paint job. ask your friend if they were really happy and satisfied with their painter and his work . Be careful here too, a talk the talk Splash and Dash Painter will try to be your buddy but keep it at a business level. I’m not knocking painters but all trades that you hire. Be careful. It to bad for the good tradesman and crassman. Any painter can talk a big talk and most can’t or wont do the job in the right manner. Word of mouth is the best way to find anyone that will do a good job. Seek and you will find. Be careful. and good luck.

That’s probably about the size that the originals were, they covered most of the hood.

They aren’t decals. They are glazed onto the light. Nothing will remove them.

I’ve painted a number of bicycles, and added custom artwork on all of them….The best way to do this, is to paint the background color to what you want it to be.. then.. for the artwok / test, use hme made decals, using inkjet water slide decal paper.I buy mine here: http://www.waterslide-decals.com/ It works great, and once the decals are dry, I follow up with a coat (or many coats of clearcoating, to add shine, and protect the decals…Looks great…

If you email your picture to Cool Art Vinyl in Australia they do custom wall decals for people. The thing you will need to watch is that life size decals can be challenging to apply yourself.I am not sure of the price but I don’t think it would be over $100.

A 3 to 4 inch decal would be a good size and it would not restrict your view to the rear but at the same time make sure that you check with your local police department because some states do not allow any stickers or decals on the windows, for example in Florida you cannot have anything on the front glass except for the state issued decals…………

Hi you need to look at the prop again look at the front side (the first area that goes over the prop shaft. you should see the props size and pitch cast into the prop around bushing also you can identify the out drive, located at the upper case left side just above the lower unit is the location of the out drive info & id no.s you probabbly have an alpha out drive but it may not be. you will need more info to get the results that you need to re-prop, possable outdrives are alpha, alpha1& beta clymers has a fairly decant book on merc outdrives, you will want to get one anyway so now is the time. good luck and happy boating
