   I think the newest hand drawn animated feature coming out has a princess who is African-American. I think it is placed in New Orleans during the Jazz age. “The Princess And The Frog” and the character is named Tiana.Christmas 2009Below is the trailer.

   Belle had brown eyes in the movie, but recent dolls and toys have shown her with green eyes. Sleeping Beauty has blue eyes.

   i think that by “the chick from alladin” ya’all mean JASMINE??? FYI, she’s ruddy well NOT indian. Alladin’s adventures are taken from The Arabian Nights, so Jasmine is ARABIC NOT INDIAN.and yeah, ive wondered bout this question too. there are no black disney princesses really!oh look i found her:According to Young, Black and Fabulous, the Princess and the Frog the first Disney film featuring a Black princess will hit theatres in Christmas 2009.    Yes the story of the Little Mermaid orginated around the Mediterean Sea, not Scandinavia even thoght the statue is up there.Snow White is originated around middle Europe.The original stories of Cinderella started in Egypt and China.But the storyof Cinderella that we know also started in Middle Europe. (There was no glass slipper involved until the 1770′s)Sleeping Beauty was around France and Spain.Most Princesses that Disney made movies of are all around Europe. But none in Northern Europe and England.Mulan is based on a Chinese fable.But the rest of the Disney princesses are made up by Disney such as:JasmineGiselle (not an offiicial princess and she’s a mix of all Disney films)

   I can see both sides to this, but honestly, I don’t think a little girl is going to be too badly affected by their bodies. I don’t think Disney intended to create an unhealthy body image. I doubt little girls will be like “oh that’s how i want to be when i grow up!” because they understand that they are not real, and bodies are not that perfect.Disney uses perfect people to show good people, and ugly people to show bad people. I think it just makes it easier for kids to understand! I LOVE THE DISNEY PRINCESSES TOO! hope i helped :] x

   My favourite when I was younger was always princess Belle.First off cause my nickname was Belle, I’m a brunette, I used to be super smart and loved reading..I also was all for not judging people upon looks and such.The years went on and now I’m to lazy to read books lmao so now I love snow white! I love the pale skin, the dark coal black hair, the pretty blushing cheeks and her sweet nature.

    Cinderella & Belle are probably French by name guessing, the hairdo and story-settingAurora and Snow White share some danish or skandinavian traits both in storyline and charactersAriel is actually a Hans Christian Andersen character, so she’s probably a Dutch, or I’d rather say ‘aquatic’ since she’s a mermaid.All in all the first five, or four, are caucasians.Jasmine is Persian (Alladin is one of Arabian Nights contemporaries)Pocahontas surely is an Indian (Native American, i meant).Fa Mulan is Chinese.

    you can talk about how all the original stories were different and most had grim outcomes I.E the little mermaid never gets with the prince and dies Cinderella was beaten by her mother in snow white the witch was forced to wear iron shoes with hot coals in them for the rest of her life as punishmentin beauty and the beast belle’s sisters planned on tricking belle to stay with them for longer than a week so that when belle got a rose for each day she was away from the castle the day her stay became too long the roses all turned black and wilted showing that beast was going to die without her you can talk about how disney changed the stories to make them less grim btw the frog princess didn’t need to be saved i think she and her prince were just looking to be turned back into humans
