   I saw some at Joann’s a few months ago…otherwise ebay is always a great source of unique fabrics. Just search “blues clues fabric”. Just be sure to buy from a reputable seller.

   It’s a girl. The voice is Traci Johnson, and on the official website, they refer to Blue as a “she”. I looked this up and Magenta is a girl also. I have also looked that up. I hope this helps.

   No, he didn’t kill himself. He simply shaved his head.After six years and over 100 shows, the original host, Steve Burns departed Blue’s Clues in 2002. His role in the show “was beginning to chafe” after five years and he left to pursue a music career. Johnson said that “what made Burns a great children’s host was that ‘he didn’t want to be a children’s host … He loved kids, but he didn’t want to make a career out of it.’” Burns himself stated, tongue-in-cheek, “I knew I wasn’t gonna be doing children’s television all my life, mostly because I refused to lose my hair on a kid’s TV show, and it was happenin’–fast.” The day after he finished filming his final episode of the show, he shaved his head, something he wanted to do for many years, but the show’s producers would not let him.However…Burns’ departure caused a resurface of the rumors that had circulated about him since 1998. As Burns said, “The rumor mill surrounding me has always been really strange.” These “specious claims” included dying from a heroin overdose, being run over by a car, and being replaced, like Paul McCartney of The Beatles, by a look-alike. Some viewers claimed that “clues” regarding Burns’ demise were placed within the show. Burns made an appearance on The Rosie O’Donnell Show to dispute these rumors, and he and co-creator Angela Santomero appeared on Today to help parents assuage the fears of children who might have heard the rumors.

    I threw a Blues Clues party when my kid was 6 yrs old. It was a blast. Now I drew and colored my own characters. Each of the guests had to go to each character to find their 3 clues and the last one went to me “Steve-ette” so they could get their goody bag. I made sure to put a kazoo in each and made it so they got their goody bag at the start of the party. We sang all the songs and even got mail. I made the cake, blue frosting in the shape of a bone.     All I can think of is to create your own. You can put a small pic of Blues into a balloon, blow it up along with a few extras & get the kids to sit on them, whoever pops the one with the pic wins a prize (maybe do a few so no tears) make the prize Blues orientated like a sticker or something. You can get a Blues figurine or doll & hide it in the house or yard & get the kids to search for it, whoever finds it gets a prize, again Blues orientated prize. You could do the old pass the parcle with Blues prizes. Or make your own pin the tail except it can be pin the ears or noes on Blues. Umm, what else? What about musical Blues, play the theme song & get the kids to dance around & when the music stops, they stop, last one still dancing is the winner of ….yep, another blues orientated prize. What about making up clues for them to find a certain object or think of the answer, might keep them interested for a while! Have fun with it, there is no need to pay too much money for a kids birthday party, they just have fun anyway!!

    NO! Moon is absolutely wrong on this one. Its actually healthy and helps you learn better!Coloring is an activity that is therapeutic for the brain and helps us calm and center ourselves. this is because the motion of our hands and eyes help connect the two halves making us calmer and more receptive to learning.Especially if you are a kinesthetic learner (learn by doing), having something to do with your hands can help you learn better. I recommend this to many of my patients. Studies have shown that people who doodle pay BETTER attention than people who dont. I colored all the way through my master’s program and got 4.0 GPA accumulative, so dont stress it and color!!PS they sell really cool intricate coloring books for adults in book and game stores, if you’re interested.

    I did wonder, though, what happened to Steve in real life? Why did he leave Blue’s Clues? It was an unanswered question which always comes to mind whenever my son and I watch the new videos with Joe. Yesterday, the answer came from someone I didn’t expect. My single sister knew why.Apparently, Steve left to pursue other acting opportunities. At present, Steve Burns is an indie rock musician.

    save a picture of blues clues. you can do this by searching google images for picture of blues clues, pressing a button on your keyboard that says print screen, or prnt scr. and then go into Paint and crop the picture so you can only see the blues clues picture (because you will also see everything on your screen. then save it, go on Y!A, click ‘use my own picture’ and browse until you find the picture you saved. tada

    Blue’s Clues jumped the shark when Steve went to college. It was never the same – not that I don’t like Joe (oh, I mean my KIDS…), but it just isn’t the same. That, and they’ve tried to add too much to it educationally. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it…but it is too late for that.

    You should put 3 clues around the house & have them figure out your 3 year old’s message/game for everyone. Just like in the episodes. LOLWalmart has cute blues clues cake. Or u can make the cake into a pawprint.
