What would you think if you saw a preview of a show like this?
ok so im only 16 but i kinda want your opinion on this show i have been thinking aboutok so basically the show is a criminal investigation but it deal with people with some mental problemsthey could be hallucinating [which is gona be pretty major cause in the show there's going to be mentions of a drug called white claudia] they could have had terrible memories from the pastreligiously delusionalor they are just plain psychotic about 5 characters are going to be shown [first]but the things is all the characters somehow hav something in common [ill get into that in a bit] One of the characters is Karen a female lawyer [blonde about 28] in the story she has no info about her biological mother [raised by foster parents] her father is mentally ill. she is very "liberal" though she keeps to herself about her life especially childhoodnext is Josh, a bar tender [supposedly 29-30 black hair ] sorta goin through financial crisis. sarcastic and kind of a goof ball. he always wished to be a cop yet the family didnt exactly hav that much money ready for him.Alex, a scenes of crime officer [SOCO] who works under his "father-figure" of a boss Richard. he is quiet, keeps his cool but tends to have things go his way. his parents were supposedly dead yet cause of death was unknown. Karen Foster [ i would probably make him 26 years old, light brown hair]Serene, a chemisist [23 dark brown hair] though still a beginner. she is seen as curious a bit uncomfortable at times but has a sweet heart.she is an orphan but she lived a good life as an adopted child.basically in the first episode everyone goes their seperate ways. the episode first starts off with Alex investigating yet another crime scene with a dead body that has same symbol somewhere on the body thats has occured many times now. some now call it the mark of Thanatos [ demon of death]. meanwhile we find Karen in a court room accusing a teacher who is believed to have drugged and molested one of his students. though she won the case she wished it hadnt happened. she comes home takes a bath and looks back at all the sick twisted cases she had solved and has seen how corrupt the world can be. Josh is found on the ground in a bar....his own bar. his friend/partner starts arguing with him about his drinking problem. As Josh leaves the bar, his partner tells him to give up. Josh mutters under his breath "...why dontu just drop dead". Serene is in her university chatting with her friends about how they are just a few months away form graduaing when finally her professor comes in. they start discussing about hte new drug called white claudia and how so many criminal investigations have been related to the usage of this new drug. near the end of the story all 4 characters are kidnapped. first is Alex who comes back to the crime scene when suddenly someone starts laughing hysterically in the background and finally Alex gets knocked out when hit in the head by a dark figure. Karen changes after her shower. once she leaves the room she relizes the apartment door is opened with the mark of Thanatos on the ground when suddently she gets hit in the head with a pipe. Josh comes back to the bar to apologize only to find that his friend was murdered and before he gets to call the police a mysterious figure attacks him. Serene enters her parents house for a visit only to find that they were tied up in the closet when someone covers her head with a long cloth. later on they all meet each other in a cellar wondering who did this to them.during the show there will be refrences about a certain women named Elizabeth. unfortunately her identity is somewhat unknown as her face is almost "covered up in the picture". she may be the reason all the character are all togetherso what do u think?? do u think it would make a good show?what would u name it?P.S. dont name it thanatos cause im planning in making that part of the story for only 1 season [ even though i didnt even start one episode XD]

I understand your frustration. I would say that you just like that show so much. If this continues meaning you have another dream similar to this, it may mean that you will have some kind of career involving it. It can mean that you want someone in your life, but I honestly doubt that. Last time I had a dream like this (sort of similar) I meet the person playing the character. That is probably what it means. possibly. It kinda has a csi meets Law and Order SVU feel to it. The bartender who wanted to be a cop would need to be changed up a bit because honestly becoming a cop is cheap. All you have to do is go to the police academy, which is same difference as going to boot camp to join the army/marines/air force/navy/coast guard. Just a suggestion for you to consider. I would think you would also maybe want to put a psychiatrist/psychologist into the show. You would also need to get into other drugs as well as the legalities of it, with people being talked into rolling over to give them info on it.

Well, that is a long question indeed.Personally, we all know that nearly everyone has things in their lives that make them difficult, maybe this girl did as well, but as you have mentioned, that is absolutely no way to deal with it.Dyslexia obviously can not cause a child to have that much anger and problems, maybe OCD, or ADD.That would be understandable.But not this.I highly doubt he “raped” her. From what you have told us, it is obvious that the child is lying.Isnt it somewhat revolting.. the extents some go for attention?That just might be it.. she might be doing all of this to get attention, maybe her parents never gave her enough attention as a child, or in other specific circumstances.She might feel neglected, therefore acting out in such a manner is her way to make up for all of the loss attention she never got.She most definitely is not good news, but keep in mind, everybody has a breaking point, and this girl still has a heart even though at times, her heart might in fact seem dark/cold.I pity the fact you and the man who was accused of being raped had to endure this, I hope it is all over for the most part.For the family, be friendly (as in acquaintance friendly) but not overly welcoming, and inviting. GOOD FOR YOU!!! If you don’t live near this lady, I encourage everyone to stop by their local Social Services and donate any old clothing, or baby items they no longer need. People never think to give items to these children, but they really do need it. Even items for older kids that are about to leave care, like toasters, and couches are very useful, and keeps them out of landfills.

I really liked it, wonderfully addictive, I’ll have to read the other bits now! All I can say (is what I say to a lot of people), but you have the flair that can’t be taught which is always really helpful to anyone trying to explain something!Maybe don’t go into so much backstory with James? Tantalize your reader with snippets of information here and there? “I tried to shake the memories from my head, how his lips on my neck had made me feel uneasy; I wouldn’t let it happen again” I don’t know, really rushed sentence there, but I’ll assume you get what I’m on about. Anyway, keep it up, it’s a pleasure to read. x
I actually…liked that…knowing it was in introduction, however, I knew it would be a dream. Usually, my friend, when you do that in literature or in movies, it annoys people. But I actually thought it was well done.My only bit of advice…this seems like horror/suspense writing. You will never make it as that kind of author if you’re not good at it. To be a horror writer, you must use DESCRIPTION and IMAGERY. Those are key in horror fiction. You pretty much told us what happens. SHOW us, though. It’s much more effective! You use description and imagery to give the reader a better insight into what is happening.IN a novel, obviously the reader can’t see what’s going on, like in a movie, so you have to write the story so well, that they can actually visualize what is happening and feel the emotions that the characters have.For more information on how to use description and imagery, you can email me from my profile. There is no winner here… especially those of us forced to watch something so awful. None of those characters had an ounce of real fighting ability so it would end up looking like an “I Love Lucy” pie fight with a healthy does of “Laverne & Shirley” slap fighting.This would only be worth it if mid-way through, Buffy the Vampire Slayer came in and staked all of them… ALL OF THEM!

I wish I could say that your friends are just looking out for your interests, but it is obvious that they have some deeply embedded prejudices.Either they have met up with someone who is cheating the system (it does happen, but it extremely rare – but if you ask right wing media, all lower class people chose to be poor and have problems) or they simply are following the lead of others. People who are well-off (even just living a comfortable life) often feel that they have the right to pass judgement on those in lower classes. It is easier to believe a stereotype than to challenge it.What if poor people want to change but are facing uphill battles? What if it is only a fraction of people who actually abuse the system? What if a woman doesn’t make an accusation of rape? What if a man isn’t a sexist pig?There are people who are only happy when living in stereotypes. YOU and I know better. We know that each person deserves respect and dignity. We know that the vast majority of people would prefer and hand up instead of a hand out. We know that there are good people out ther (you, Lacey, Sam) and ignorant people who need to learn to mind their own business (Gary, Karen).Let their comments roll off. They are not worth your time or effort.You are a good friend. I wish you the best.PS – I know many, many women (and men) and can promise you that rape allegations are horrible things and that women making false accusations is another stereotype put out there by people who do not want to believe that rapists exist. I don’t know anyone who has ever made a false accusation.
