I have the same question but I just made mine my own way and I found out my own way is still pretty, and it’s special too because you did it by yourself and you own special way too! Ü Yours will be unique because it’s yours and you did it your way! Don’t worry if you make a mistake we all make mistakes, just try again, it will be a little frustrating and you probably will feel like giving up but it so much fun after you decide what color of paper to use, where to put the pictures, and other things. Your hard work will pay off after your are finished! ÜI hope you have fun scrapbooking it’s lots of fun!!! Ü

Homemade sticker adhesive recipeSticker Adhesive· 1 packet (1/4 ounce) unflavored gelatin· 1 tablespoon cold water· 3 tablespoons boiling water· 1/2 teaspoon sugar or corn syrup· 1/2 teaspoon lemon extract (or flavor of choice)Paint brushSprinkle gelatin into cold water and soften for 5 minutes. Pour boiling water in gelatin mixture, stirring until dissolved. Add corn syrup or sugar and extract. Mix well. Thinly apply a layer of adhesive to the back of the sticker sheet. Allow to dry completely. Page will curl so place under a heavy object like a phone book until it flattens out.Using sharp scissors cut stickers apart.Any leftover adhesive will gel overnight. To return to original state, store in glass container. Place container in a pan of hot water unti the glue becomes usable again. Unused adhesive can be refrigerated for several months.

What a super idea and so very very thoughtful. Even if I didn’t like scrap-booking I would cherish the time doing this with my daughter-in-law.Your mother-in-law is lucky to have you for a daughter-in-law.

Sounds crazy but if you haven’t seen “My Sister’s Keeper”-do so. Its a great film and a tear jerker for sure but the sister who has cancer makes this fabulous scrapbook that we enjoyed through the whole film. They show almost every page and the way she collaged the art and photos is wonderful.

bring it to staples or somewhere that does color photo copies, and give it a shot. I’m sure you can find someplace that has high quality copies and then you will have your own.

try putting in ribbons, some magazine clippings of like runway models. Try googling something like fashion collage that might help. Also put in some quotes about fashion. Maybe paint your lips with red lipstick and kiss a page and put a piece of clear scotch tape over it so its not sticky.

I am so sorry for your loss. Grandmas are so important and I really miss both of mine. What a lovely idea to have a memory book of your special cards, and I also love the idea of having some special photos of your grandmother in the album.. I found a place that sells special albums for storing and displaying cards in case you would like to see that idea:http://www.cardmemories.com/I’m sure whatever you make will be beautiful, being made with such love.

There is a line of stickers that are geared for every age up to 5 or 6. The ones about a child’s second year say things like Terrible two’s, I’m 2, etc.. -things that pertain to the second year. They are part of the Jone Hallmark line by Creative Imaginations. I believe the stickers are called Through the Ages. You can see and buy them here: http://store.scrapbook.com/brycmadstict.html

You do it however you like. What I usually do is trim the pictures and mount them on white paper. I like a white margin around my pictures. Then I lay them out on a 2 page spread (my facing pages have to coordinate, but that’s my quirk), and move them around until the overall picture is pleasing.I don’t use stickers anymore, but I might put some contrasting paper on the edges as a border, or make the top and bottom of each page out of 2 coordinating prints, and I like to use buttons, rhinestones, fabric flowers, die cuts and ribbon on the pages…just not too lumpy so I don’t get dents in the pictures. I do use sticker letters sometimes, but mostly I make letters with my Sizzix or Cricut. Each page is separate, meaning I don’t use the back of a page for the front of the next page. I might want to move them around, and if I use ribbon, I like to wrap it around the edge of the paper and tape it.It’s your album and you can do whatever you like.

I bought plastic drawer units for my 12×12 papers and sort them by color. You can get a 3-drawer unit at Walmart for around $10. The Container Store as well as Hobby Lobby have 6-drawer units but they run about $60. You can do essentially the same thing by buying two $10 units and stacking them. Much more economical. I have about 4 units stacked together.I store my stickers according to category: wedding/romance, baby, vacation, friends/growing up, summer, fall, Christmas, spring/Easter, winter, school, etc. I use the 8 1/2×11 tray units for them and place a small sticker or label on the outside to indicate what’s inside. A binder suggested by others is also a good idea. It is easy to see the colored paper inside the plastic trays, so I don’t label them. I also have a office/kitchen utility 6-drawer unit on wheels where I store my cutting tools, chalk ink, ribbons, etc. I also purchased several small utility units designed to hold screws, nuts, bolts, etc. from the mechanic section at Walmart. These are used to hold small cutouts and punches I make out of leftover scraps. I too have a small space, so the key it to go upward by stacking units. Hope this helps.

Page titles I have used include: Pampered PetDoggie DaysDog-gone CutePuppy LoveLove my DogBeware Cute DogBad to the BoneTop DogKing of the YardI would not use ref as the background of every page. You could use red here and there in each layout but don’t use it as the only dominate color. You can add stickers, brads and clsips that are shaped like bones. You can use patterened papers here and there. I have also used diecuts and I have done different effects with my dog pictures at a smaller size like black and white or sepia. I have also been more creative and edited digitally to look like water colors or an oil painting or a pencil sketch. If you are good with editing software you can create these effects and if you don’t like them yu can undo it before you print you picture! You can also use ribbon or tags or tear mulberry paper and make a dog that looks like your dogs. I have plenty of ideas if you need more help. Just send me an email.

You’ll need to get a bigger envelope, either at the Post Office or at Staples or some other office supply store. How much it costs to mail will depend on what the full envelope weighs. You can estimate the shipping costs right there at the Post Office Web site:US:http://www.usps.com/prices/first-class-mail-prices.htmCanada:http://www.usps.com/prices/first-class-mail-international-prices.htm

You may include the following :If you are doing a wedding album: – an original wedding invitation – the business card where you purchased the wedding cake, the flowers or that beautiful wedding dress – add the original receipts from the reception, to show how much it costs back then. – add a stamp that was used to mail the wedding invitation, to look back and say stamps were only 44 cents ! – many couples order their paper napkins with their initials on it and with a love symbol, keep one and add to your page where you show guests eating at the reception. If you are doing a baby’s album: – ultra-sounds pictures- put water-proof paint on their little hands and feet and press them on your page. Write down how old they were- add a business card from their pediatrician and take a picture with their Doctor- add their birthday invitations- add special birthday cards from mom & dad, Grandma & Grandma, or other special people- when baby gets haircuts, keep some hair and add it to your pageIf you are doing a kids album:- add their report cards- add special awards or certificates- keep their entrance stubs from Disneyland or Sea World- keep the brochures from shows or plays- add their art work from school. If the project is bigger than 12 x 12, scan it so it’ll fit on your pageI hope this lists gives you ideas what you can add to make your album unique and very special. Good luck.
