Vintage Mello is great. I don’t know what else to say. I was amazed at the quality of Vintage Mello and highly recommend that you take a look and see for yourself.

What kind of vintage film camera should I buy?
Vintage film cameras have recently peaked my interest. I bought a Polaroid OneStep Land Vintage Mello Camera, but have come to find that one cannot buy film for such a camera. What other vintage film cameras should I look for that are fairly old, but still "alive" in the photography industry. In other words, I'd like an old camera for which I can buy film.

There is no ‘set’ look, really- that’s the beauty of it. Most people just sort of experiment with fashions of yesteryear, but while some people are purists and will only wear original clothing from a specific era, others might mix items which vary in era from Victorian to 70s!Try having a look through a few forums like the Fedora Lounge and see what you like on there. If you mean that you like Dita Von Teese, then that’s a lot simpler. Just google her name!Lots of hair and make up tutorials on YouTube, just have a look and see what you fancy- it’ll help you to get a better idea if you just look around. Do you prefer 40s? 50′s? 60′s looks, even?Sorry this is a bit rambly, I’m knackered.Good luck!

I think it really depends how you “market it”. if you post it on craigslist in your city or ebay, take cute photos of it without junk all around. There are some really lovely, vintage-looking furniture pieces at anthropologie.com. You could source a similar vintage couch and show a photo of it next to your photo as a comparable. people usually respond strongly if they can see they are getting a deal. on craigslist you can post a price and say OBO (or best offer) and see what comes back. good luck!

I would definitely visit your site. I love going to second hand stores and searching for cool vintage clothes and I shop online a lot too, so why not combine the two.You are right, clothes from days gone by are made better and have more detail than modern day clothes. It seems today as if clothes are part of the disposable lifestyle of today. Some clothes have become so cheap that people have tons more clothes than they need and if something gets a whole in it they will just throw it away instead of fixing it. That is also why I like to shop vintage, it is good for the environment.Good Luck with your site…

That must be really expensive by now. It is great to revive this fashion style.

Just do a search for “vintage chair appraisals”. I would imagine most sites will want money for this service. I bought to chairs at a garage sale for $3 a piece, put new fabric on them and painted the legs. They turned out great, but couldn’t sell them on e-bay. Someone should start a web site for this rare treasures to be listed.

go to the Sharper Image — they sell a very good jewelry cleansing machine and it’s not that expensive. Works wonders!

I’ve seen them used as kitchen curtains by just hanging them triangularly on a rod..no sewing! If you do sew, you could make them into runners. Also, if you have a fireplace mantle you could fold it so it fits on it with a little hanging down.

You could try moving the buttons on the “belt” part closer to the edge to give you a little more room. I don’t know how tight it is on you…I’ll keep thinking for you though ;) I just thought of something else, if you remove the belt part and take it apart at the side seams and then sew a piece of another fabric (coordinating or contrasting) to the side seams of it, then sew it back to the pants…or if you use the belt part as a pattern and make another waistband for your pants out of fabric that coordinate with your pants.

Crazing is one of those things that bother some people. I soak mine in hot water and dishWASHER detergent for an hour or so. Any marks left will come out with a toothbrush.

Check the local Goodwill and Salvation Army stores. They often have older road bikes for very cheap.

Generally, a guitar is considered vintage at the age of 40 years.

It is true that consignment shops are great, and you can clean the furniture or whatever to avoid the pests. You don’t say what kind of vintage items that you want and that would help a lot.Try places like ebay where you can stick to your dollar limit. You can put small signs in INTERNET saying that you are looking for (’1940′s, 1950′s, 1960′s) items to decorate a dorm room. You may get some things at reasonable prices.Ask family if they have something in the attic that they aren’t using and then have your friends to check their family members too!I hope this helps.reasonable
